“We have been involved with Woodford County for over 30 years. Our primary purpose for organizing was to restore the tomb of General Marquis Calmes and his wife Priscilla. We completed that project in 1990. We are thrilled to help with any project that preserves the Calmes Family history for future generations. General Marquis Calmes IV (1755-1834) is my 4th great grandfather, and I have a son named Marquis."
Paul (Monte) Calmes, President

“The history of Woodford County is truly rich and filled with many interesting stories. The history of Midway College, its founders and its students plays such a unique role in the county’s history that we could not imagine a documentary without the institution’s involvement. The College will celebrate its 165th anniversary in 2012, and our partnership with ‘My Kentucky Home: Woodford County’ will help us to honor our past and reflect back on what impact we have had on the many lives of our students and the community.”
Dr. William B. Drake, Jr., President
Midway College, Midway, KY
"Glenn and I are pleased to support this project because it has the potential to unite a cross section of ideas, philosophies, and views. We like the spirit of Marvo's work and believe that the documentary will showcase the beauty of this area that we love and would hope to pass on to future generations."
